Work One-on-One
with Dr. Miller

ALL consulting and editing are performed by Dr. Miller. She takes a “boutique” approach, limiting clients to 10 at any time, so it’s best to get in early. Dr. Miller assists with every stage of medical admissions preparation, from high school students to residency/fellowship applicants.

A. Strategy Sessions

Dr. Miller strongly prefers clients start with an Academic & Accomplishment Review + 60min Strategy Session, which focuses on assessing your current status, maximizing strengths, minimizing weaknesses, laying out a plan, and, if relevant, strategizing recommendations, school/program lists, activities, and personal statements. Sessions are tailored to your specific needs depending on where you are in the medical admissions journey. Parents are welcome to join and Dr. Miller always leaves time for questions.

After the initial strategy sessions, brainstorm sessions are used to check in and discuss any topic of your choosing. Common topics include MCAT results and subsequent strategy, course/major selection, extracurricular selection, gap year options, personal statement brainstorm, secondary essay brainstorm, and waitlist strategy.

All sessions occur via Skype/Facetime or phone.

B. Essay Editing

Dr. Miller provides comprehensive edits of everything, including resumes, recommendations, personal statements, work/activities, secondary essays, and letters of intent. In edition to extensive comments to help you create a compelling narrative specific to your strengths, Dr. Miller performs line-by-line edits.

C. Interview Preparation

Both traditional and MMI interview preparation is available via Skype/Facetime. Skype must be used for video recording option.
